The following post is a guest post!

Accutane is a medication that people take for clearing their acne. However, many side effects, including hair loss, (suicides have also been reported), can occur while taking this product. Many people don't know that hair loss is one of the major side effects.

It doesn't matter what age you are, you can still suffer from the hair loss side effect.

Sometimes the hair loss caused from Accutane can be temporary but most times it is permanent and it can cause you to have a lot of problems. It doesn't matter if you are male or female, this could still happen regardless of your age and who you are.

How does Accutane Cause Hair loss?

The reason why this happens is because your oil is no longer producing the way it should with your sebaceous glands and that causes them to get really small and when they get that small, you lose your hair.

Further Information

There are some medicines that take awhile to show any side effects but with Accutane, you can guess right at the very start if you are going to have any hair problems or not. Most people start seeing the change in the first week for them taking the medication.

You should have it confirmed with your doctor first if you think that you are suffering from hair loss and on Accutane. While there is a high chance that could be the reason, there are still other things your doctor will need to check for confirmation that is for sure Accutane. One thing that could cause hair loss is thyroid problems and you won't know until your doctor checks it. When you are taking the medication and have any questions, you should always ask before you take it again.
