Can I use Proactiv once a day?

Although it's highly recommended that you use Proactiv twice a day for optimal results, those with sensitive skin should actually stick to using it once a day.

Instructions to using Proactiv 1 time a day!

1. If you do decide to use Proactiv once a day, make sure that you use it right before going to sleep.

2. Apply the first and the second step of Proactiv as you normally would, BUT make sure that you apply a thick fingers length of the third step repairing lotion.

3. Apply the third step gently until it has dried.

4. Now, take a little more of the third step, and apply it over your problem areas. This time, do not rub it until it has dried. Instead, leave the skin a little damp with the third step solution. Don't wash off!

5. Go to bed!

The reason you have to apply a little more of the third step solution when using Proactiv once a day, is because you're skipping an application phase. When this occurs, you need a little more solution to keep the acne away.

I use Proactiv before bed.

In the morning, if my face touches shower water, then that's alright. If it doesn't, that's alright too.

The key isn't to wash your face as much as you can, rather, have one or two good washes per day.

My skin prefers 1.

can i put step three on in the morning?????

Just step 3?

If you're going to use step 3, I would use the 2 other steps prior to it.

The 1st and the 2nd steps were created to prepare your skin for the 3rd step.

But again, you can do things how you'd like.

I'm no longer recommending Lubriderm. You can apply it 15 minutes after, but Proactiv's Green Tea Moisturizer would work way better!

What did I say to do? I've lost track of your question since your name is 'Anonymous'.

oh i meant i did what you said about applying another layer of the third step then my rite below my nose started to burn

If it burns extremely bad, you know you've used too much. If it's a slight burn, this is normal. Wait about 15 minutes and it will be gone.

If your skin becomes even more irritated, use less of the solution.

I hope this helps. :)

I'm probably the most irrated skin type ever, since I used this product my face has started to peel and I cannot touch my face without pain. Washing my face and using all the steps are almost excruciating to me, ecspecially after the 3rd step. With my Proactive I have the Oil Free Moisturizer but it does VERY little to moisturize.. But the bad thing is, is that I have really oily skin also. If I leave my skin alone i'll look like a friggen mirror. My skin case is probably the worst ever recorded for Proactive users..

If I apply proactiv before school will other people be able to smell it on my face? If so, what could I do?

My face peels when using proactive two times a day, so I went to using steps 1 and 2 in morning and all three at night.

Sometimes I Use a softer bior face wash in the morning as step 1 can be to much for my skin twice a day. I used proactive for many years and it didn't always irritate, but as I got older it did so I changed how I use it.

I just started using Proactive, and I've noticed a slight change already in clearing up. I have very slightly mild acne but ever since using it, my skin has become more red, itchy, and bumpy irritated. I do somewhat have sensitive skin as well but not so sensitive to where i think i should only use it once. Any advice?
