Acne and Diet: What's the Truth? Over the past two weeks, I have written about many different foods that are believed to contribute to breakouts. To sum things up, we've learned that what you eat, can definitely affect your facial complexion.

Proof of this theory can be seen throughout the following posts. You will even see in the Iodine post below, that a reputable acne treatment company (Proactiv), has even stated that "Foods with high Iodine content, such as shellfish or seaweed, may cause flare-ups of acne."

With that being said, your diet does play at the least, a minimal role in whether or not you will get acne. My suggestion now is to read the following posts, come back to this article, and then vote and leave your comments below.
