When I was researching for my cucumber acne mask post, I ran across the lemon juice acne remedy. I looked on Acne.org, and the review scores were excellent, so I decided to do a little more research regarding the topic.
Does Lemon Help Acne?
Well, here are the ratings, like I was stating above, which can be found at Acne.org. Again, this is a screen capture from their site. This treatment seems pretty promising, and according to a lot of reviewers, their complexion either improved, or their acne cleared altogether. [Clap!] [Clap!] [Clap!]
Lemon + Water Instructions
Creating this little treatment is really simple. Just so you all know, 99% of the time you do some sort of facial, unless it's spot treatment, you'll want to apply the treatment to your entire face, and not just your problem areas.
Now that you know that, let's get to it. For this treatment, you will need 1 teaspoon of lemon, and water... along with a bowl to mix the two things together, and a cotton ball or pad to apply the solution to your face.
- Squeeze 1 teaspoon of lemon juices into your bowl.
- Take your cotton ball or pad and get it wet with lemon juice.
- Apply to entire face. (If stinging occurs, dilute lemon juice with 1 teaspoon of water).
- Wash lemon juice off after 10 minutes.
- According to Your Best Acne Treatments, improvements will show after 2 weeks of use.
- The site also claims the lemons can be internally used for cleansing and acne treatment.
My Questions
Because I have never used this treatment, I don't know how often it should be applied. Does anyone have the answer to this question? If so, feel free to leave your comments below.
