Energy Drinks Cause Acne: I realize that Acne and Diet week has ended, but I just had to bring this up. As you all know, I have been clear for some time now. However, I most recently became quite addicted to those little 5 Hour Energy Drinks. Soon enough, I began drinking one every single day. The next thing you know, pimples start popping up. (See my post: Are 5 Hour Energy Drinks Bad for You?) Also see, Water VS Energy Drinks!
Why would energy drinks cause acne?
I have a few different theories to why energy drinks may in fact cause acne. Again, these are all theories. If I do know one thing however, consistently drinking energy drinks will definitely cause you to breakout.
Energy Drinks are dehydrating like soda: Does Soda Cause Acne? Sure it does! Soda is very dehydrating and dehydration is directly linked to acne. Could it be that energy drinks are also dehydrating?
Caffeine can also cause acne: Another reason to believe that energy drinks may cause acne is the fact that they have so much caffeine, which is directly related to acne.
I'm no longer consuming energy drinks.
I can't be walking around telling people how to get rid of their acne if I have acne myself. With that being said, I have replaced my habit with water. Once again, I am almost clear.
If you can take anything from this post, know that the things you put in your body, definitely do play a role in whether or not you will get acne. With that being said, energy drinks definitely cause acne!

2 cups of coffee a day- will that cause a teen to break out?
small cups:p
Let's just put it this way - If you're currently drinking 2 cups of coffee a day then stop. See if your skin improves. If it does not, then you're fine with your 2 cups. :)
If you're not drinking 2 coffee a day, I don't recommend trying it. :)
I actually used to work in an ice cream shop and the owners brought the "monster" energy drinks and i never had one before and so they gave me one for free and i drank it and i got addicted to them and apparently it was about a month before my senior prom and i broke out in severe acne and i was using a lot of different acne products that sting and burn and have lots of chemicals that proabably made my acne worse for some reason and i wasn't sure what it was and eventually i thought okay it must be the energy drinks, but it was too late and i had a lot of acne during my prom (especially on my chin, which hurt), didn't really ruin it but it would be better if i didn't have any haha and now i switched to drinking mostly water and i just started using proactive about 3 weeks ago and its about cleared up which is good, wish i knew about this before hahaha
